ARM acquires Mistbase and NextG-Com in NB-IoT investment

ARM has announced the acquisition of two leading NarrowBand IoT (NB-IoT) companies, Mistbase and NextG-Com.

NB-IOT is a new narrowband radio technology to address the requirements of the Internet of Things (IoT). The new technology will provide improved indoor coverage, support of massive number of low throughput devices, low delay sensitivity, ultra-low device cost, low device power consumption and optimized network architecture.

“We are already working on ARM Cordio-N solutions to reduce the time to market for our partners’ NB-IoT standard-compliant chips,” says Paul Williamson, Wireless Business General Manager at ARM.
