Amazon health care joint venture announces new CTO

Serkan Kutan, an Amazon and Microsoft veteran who was most recently chief technology officer at medical appointment booking company Zocdoc, has been named CTO of the health care joint venture launched last year by Amazon, JPMorgan Chase and Berkshire Hathaway.
Kutan called the joint venture “the most promising attempt to improve health care in the U.S.” in a LinkedIn post announcing the news Monday. He’s pictured in the post with Atul Gawande, the surgeon and Harvard professor who was named CEO of the health care joint venture last June.
